I could probably allow that, if handled correctly. "Borrowing" liberally from comic books, as Heroes does, it should take a cue from the narrative flow of its inspiration. A good character, or set of characters, does not cease to be marketable just because their currently storyline wraps up.

I am giving Heroes a season. I am really enjoying it so far, but I want to see the city saved in the season finale. Season two can be a different story that develops the characters some more.

This is a fine example of why conservatives should be more interested in banning celebrity marriage than same-sex marriage. Although, calling Spears a celebrity is a bit of a stretch lately, so far as I can tell.
